Chance K. Young

Taking Chances Foundation is a nonprofit organization created in loving memory of
Chance K. Young.
​
Chance was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 26 in April of 2022 and entered remission in August of 2022 after undergoing multiple rounds of chemotherapy. A year later, his worst fear came true, his cancer returned. His world was flipped upside down once again, but he was not defeated by the news of his relapse.
Chance faced his battle once again strong and courageous. He remained positive and full of love and life through all the obstacles he endured. He fought long and hard before sadly passing from complications of leukemia in August 2024.

Our family wanted to create a way to give back to people affected by blood cancer, people fighting similar battles to Chance.

Our Mission
The Taking Chances Foundation, created in loving memory of Chance K. Young, is dedicated to uplifting the lives of local leukemia patients and their families. Through direct financial assistance and compassionate emotional support, we aim to ease the burden of a leukemia diagnosis. Guided by Chance’s legacy of strength, courage, and love; we bring hope, connection and heartfelt care to those facing this difficult journey.

Our vision is to carry Chance’s light forward by making a lasting impact in the lives of Leukemia patients and their families. We strive to build a compassionate, supportive community – one rooted in love, resilience, and togetherness – so no one walks through cancer alone. Inspired by Chance’s spirit, we offer courage, comfort and unwavering support, lighting the way towards healing and hope.
